Knits & Votes

Hello all!

So I don't know if any of you have noticed but it is November. Do you KNOW what this means? The holidays are just around the corner and I have yet to begin holiday knitting. This would not be so bad; however, against my preconceived notions about Florida, it is COLD here (not super cold, but cold enough to be annoying and require jacket planning), and I am needing to start some personal winter knitting. Decisions, decisions, decisions. Maybe I will let myself knit a hat for me for every five holiday presents? Oh yeah, that seems like a good motivator. ::rolling eyes:: Knowing me, this will end with me running around like a crazy person days before I am supposed to go home for vacation.

Oh, I want to thank everyone who went out yesterday and voted! Whether your candidates won, lost, or are still in murky water, you won since you voted. Yea for getting your voice heard! As a side note, I am really pumped that I am 25 this year and am not being called a young apathetic nonvoter anymore. As a footnote to that, from my knowledge none of the gubernatorial candidates for Florida came to the University of Florida to speak.

Alright, back to the Master's,

-SAK

  1. Yeah, UF and Gainesville kind of get the shaft at election time. We are considered a die-hard democratic area, so the Rep's ignore us as unwinnable, and the Dem's assume they've got us no matter what.
You think it's cold? Everytime I think it's getting nice, it warms backup! All I want to wear my "winter" stuff, and it's too hot in my car (although not in my office!).
